Match day restrictions, closures, and why you should take SkyTrain instead.
The entire stretch of Granville Street becomes a pedestrian zone during World Cup. No vehicle traffic allowed.
These streets have reduced access and lane restrictions on match days. Expect delays.
If you're a resident of affected blocks (Granville between Pender and Drake, surrounding avenues), you can apply for a Local Traffic Access Pass to access your property during pedestrian zone hours.
Requirements: Proof of residency, valid driver's license, vehicle registration
Application deadline: 10 days before each match
Apply for Local Traffic Access Pass →Why driving on match days is slower (and more expensive):
SkyTrain costs $3.15 each way. From Surrey Central to Stadium-Chinatown in 45 minutes flat. No stress, no parking hunt.
